Allan Hancock College presents the dance program's annual spring show, Dance Spectrum, from March 15 to 18 in the Marian Theatre on the Santa Maria campus. Dance instructor Jesus Solorio will direct the cast of more than 60 dancers in 14 original works, including ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, Chinese, pop, and Latin fusion.

"This year's show will be bigger and better than ever," Solorio said in a statement from Hancock. "We are using new props and effects, including a new projector to show video behind our dancers. We also have four guest choreographers who all bring something unique, inspiring, and memorable to the stage."

The four guest choreographers include: Melinda Sullivan, Chasen Greenwood, and extreme martial arts duo Seth Austin and Donald Mills. From Thursday through Saturday, shows begin at 7 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Children ages 5 and older are welcome to attend.

Tickets are $16 and $18. More info or to purchase tickets: (805) 922-8313. The college is located at 800 S. College Drive, Santa Maria.
