Lompoc Christmas parade now accepting applications

The annual Lompoc Valley Children's Christmas Season Parade is currently accepting applications to take part in the event, which is scheduled for Dec. 7.

Following an online survey, the theme selected for this year's parade is Miracle on H Street. The parade starts at
6 p.m. A gathering is planned after the parade at Centennial park, located at Cypress and H Street.

The parade features the lighting of the community Christmas tree, as well as the chance to meet Santa Claus. Awards will also be handed out to parade winners; winner of the Best Lights award will get free admission to the 2019 parade.

All applications are due on Nov. 26. Anyone interested in participating in the parade (individuals, organizations, or businesses) is asked to apply and submit to the Lompoc Recreation Division located in the Anderson Recreation Center at 125 W. Walnut Ave., Lompoc. Applications are available online at cityoflompoc.org/services/recreation. More information: (805) 875-8100.
